Andrew has 28 years experience working as a property investment lawyer in the pre eminent real estate practices in Western Europe. He has extensive experience of all aspects of high value commercial and residential transactions, acting for clients ranging from major UK property companies and pan -European lenders to ultra high net worth offshore investors. He specialises in all aspects of the acquisition, development, financing, management and disposal of high value commercial and residential properties, advising clients at a strategic as well as transactional level. He also has extensive experience of tax mitigating structures and has established and coordinated the real estate strategy on multi-jurisdictional corporate transactions worth up to £1billion each.

Recent Experience

• advising an off shore investor on the £150 million refinancing of a flagship West End office and retail complex
• advising a UK investor on the purchase, management and subsequent disposal of a portfolio of office and health care properties in Central London worth in excess of £25 million
• acting for a major international professional services corporation on the sale and leaseback of its Central London HQ
• representing an offshore investor on the high value letting campaign in a major West End office block
• representing a landlord in opposing the statutory renewal of a lease of a well known City public house
• representing the landlord on a high value  – £4 million per annum plus – contested Oxford Street retail rent review
• acting for an offshore investor on the disposal of a £50 million Chelsea town house for redevelopment
• disposing of a £24 million City office building for a UK property company, exchanging contracts within 24 hours of being instructed
