Arcangelo is a tax practitioner qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales and as a Dottore Commercialista in Italy. He has over 20 years’ experience in leading UK tax firms and Italian law firms, including PwC, KPMG and Macchi di Cellere Gangemi. He specialises in international tax, trusts and wealth structuring, and assisting clients with relocating to and from the UK. His diverse client base includes business owners, investors, senior financial executives, trustees, wealth managers, and family offices.

Arcangelo provides comprehensive advice on a wide range of UK and international tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and tax dispute resolution.

He is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the International Bar Association, regularly sharing insights at international tax conferences and through contributions to industry publications.

Recent experience

• Advising a UHNW City-based portfolio manager and his family on a complex cross-border tax planning project, resulting in significant Income tax, Capital gains and Inheritance tax efficiency.
• Assisting multiple senior executives with successful settlements related to miss-sold tax avoidance schemes (over £10m in claims).
• Advising on incentive remuneration planning for a Private Equity portfolio company’s executives, reviewing arrangement in place and recommending framework for introducing cash and non-cash deferral plans. Preparing opinions on incentivisation and retention of key individual members of the business, review of relevant commercial and legal documentation from a tax perspective.
• Assisting a UHNW Italian resident family in the legal and tax aspects regarding the structuring of their Central London investment property portfolio, including non-resident landlord tax compliance, International and Inheritance tax advice and compliance with related Stamp Duty Land Tax obligations.
