About Tim

Tim has 25 years of experience dealing with disputes which cover the full panoply of issues faced by property owners, occupiers, investors, developers and property funds.  His expertise embraces commercial landlord and tenant, dilapidations, 1954 Act renewals, freehold covenants, and easements.  He has particular expertise in the identification and management of risk arising from development sites such as securing vacant possession and dealing with adverse rights affecting the delivery of developments.

Recent experience

  • Acting for the seller of a super prime property in London seeking damages following the failure of the Buyer to complete the purchase.
  • Advising the tenant of an industrial warehouse in terminating its lease following misrepresentation and/or repudiatory breach of contract by its landlord.
  • Advising an UHNW individual in bringing a claim for damages for dispossession from a prime Central London flat and loss of the lease.
  • Advising the freeholders of an industrial estate in relation to claims of easements to park that would restrict future development of the property.
  • Advising an option holder on complicated issues of construction of the option and the question of whether the option could be exercised, and the subject land developed
