About Kayleigh

Kayleigh is a solicitor in the Schools HR team, providing specialist employment law advice to clients within the education sector, with a particular focus on workplace investigations.

Kayleigh is an Australian qualified solicitor with experience in various contentious and non-contentious employment law matters including dismissals, discrimination, contracts, policies and procedures, settlement agreements and workplace investigations.

Prior to moving to the UK, Kayleigh worked at a leading Australian firm advising a variety of employer clients on employment and HR law, and leading on workplace investigations. After moving to London she spent time working for a trade union, advising union members on all manner of employment issues, before joining Winckworth Sherwood’s education practice to support our school clients.

Recent experience:

  • Representing a client before the Teaching Regulation Agency in a final professional conduct panel hearing
  • Advising on unfair dismissal, discrimination and victimisation claims in the Employment Tribunal
  • Advising on grievance, disciplinary and absence management processes across various sectors, including the education sector
