About Jackie
Jackie has recently transferred to the Leasehold Enfranchisement Residential Team from the Real Estate Litigation Team. She provides specialist advice to flat owners, landlords, a variety of Registered Providers of Social Housing, charitable organisations and ecclesiastical landlords. Her particular expertise is in lease extensions, collective enfranchisement, right to manage and the right of first refusal.
Jackie’s litigation expertise is in residential Landlord and Tenant disputes, Housing/Leasehold Management and commercial lease disputes, in particular those arising under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 for example lease renewals.
Recent Experience
- Advising an RSL in both collective enfranchisement and lease extension claims made by their leaseholders
- Advising an RSL in right to manage claims made by their leaseholders
- Advising a Registered Provider in the interpretation of clauses in a Lease which provided a warden’s flat in a retirement home, in light of a collective enfranchisement claim to see whether a particular room formed part of the common parts
- Advising an RSL upon the procedure to obtain a lease extension where the Freeholder was absent
