Recent Experience
- Acting for several multi-academy trust companies in the defence of Employment Tribunal proceedings brought for unfair dismissal, direct and indirect sex discrimination and disability discrimination
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the law as it applies to voluntary aided schools and voluntary academies through my role supporting and advising Catholic dioceses generally
- Advising a Catholic diocese in relation to a claim brought against one of its schools for discrimination on the grounds of religion
- Drafting a Teachers’ Pay Policy for an independent school
- Drafting contracts of employment for a range of employees from support staff to senior employees, such as Chief Executive Officer
- Drafting and maintaining a suite of model employment documents, including contracts and workplace policies, for over 2,500 Catholic schools and academies in England and Wales
- Drafting model scheme of delegation and associated documentation for Catholic academy trust companies in England
