Winckworth Sherwood has advised Countryside, one of the UK’s leading homebuilders, and L&Q, one of the UK’s leading housing associations, on their sale of an 80-unit development site to Sigma Capital at Beam Park.
The site will be built and used as private rented sector housing. It forms part of the first phase of the £1bn Beam Park regeneration, being delivered by Countryside and L&Q in Barking and Dagenham and Havering. Once completed, the entire development will deliver over 3,000 homes, with 50% affordable housing, across a 71.7 acre site. This will be supported by a new railway station, two new schools, community facilities and generous publicly accessible green space. The sale to Sigma Capital marks the first foray into the London Private Rented Sector at the Beam Park scheme.
The Winckworth Sherwood team consisted of real estate Senior Associates Claire Hance-Lambie and Elizabeth Pipe, Solicitor Jenny McNeill and partners Francesco Ferrari and Roger Fitton.
