Contract Law Bites (for schools): Key considerations entering into contracts

The first in a two-part webinar series will offer practical and pragmatic guidance on common areas of contract law that we frequently speak to clients about.

Aimed at individuals regularly contracting for goods and services on behalf of schools and trusts, these 45-minute sessions will also focus on takeaways to apply to day-to-day working.

  • Have I entered into a contract when I did not mean to?
    Ongoing negotiations – What amounts to an agreement?
    Recent examples from the Court on when dealings have been enough to form a contract
    What can you do to protect your position?
  • When can I be bound by standard terms?
    What terms will form a part of your agreement?
    When will you not be held to terms (e.g. unusual and onerous terms)?
    Practical steps to protect your position
