Winckworth Sherwood has today (20 January) announced the appointment of Private Wealth and Tax partner Charlie Hancock.
Hancock joined the firm on 19 January from Forsters and brings to the firm a strong track record in advising the owners of landed estates and a client following that includes business owners and wealthy individuals and their families.
He is named by the Legal 500 as a ‘rising star’ and praised for expertise across all areas of private client and tax work, including wills, trusts, probate, wealth transfer and philanthropy.
His appointment follows the high profile move by Arcangelo D’Apolito, a dual qualified English and Italian lawyer, who also joined the firm on 19 January from the distinguished Italian law firm Macchi di Cellere Gangemi.
On joining the firm, Hancock said: “It is a privilege to become a partner at Winckworth Sherwood. Its Private Client firm is widely recognised for its technical expertise and acknowledged for its collegiate approach.”
Richard Tinham, Managing Partner, Winckworth Sherwood, comments: “We are delighted by Charlie’s decision to join the firm. We look forward to working alongside him as he continues to build his career.
“Winckworth Sherwood continues to build and invest in its private client and tax, residential property and trust and estates disputes teams. Demand for highly experienced and personalised support continues to grow.”
Hancock is a member of Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS), and London branch member of Country Land and Business Association (CLA).
