Before joining the Residential Property Litigation team at Winckworth Sherwood, Tamara qualified as a commercial litigator at Teacher Stern LLP. Since qualifying she has acted on a broad range of commercial and property disputes, before the High Court, First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal and County Court. She also has experience in managing complex litigation from pre-action to trial preparation.
Tamara advises social landlords on all aspects of residential Landlord and Tenant disputes, including Leasehold and Housing Management matters.
Recent experience
- Acting for the Developer in relation to two claims issued against them arising out of new causes of action under the Building Safety Act in both the First-tier Tribunal and Technology and Construction Court, relating to alleged fire safety defects and breach of building regulations in a high-rise building with a value of over £16,000,000 (Grey GR Limited Partnership v Edgewater (Stevenage) & Others (CAM26UH/HYI/2023/0003)).
- Assisting with the group action involving 160 claimants in a £70,000,000 dispute against the Bank of Scotland in respect of its Shared Appreciation Mortgage product (Various SAM Borrowers v Bank of Scotland).
- Acting on behalf of a well-recognised events agency in relation to a statutory demand valued at over £200,000, which had been issued by an individual residing in the United Arab Emirates.
- Advising a developer client, in relation to allegedly negligent work carried out at one of its residential properties.
