Roger specialises in large urban regeneration projects, residential developments and mixed use schemes for house builders, housing associations, local authorities, and charities. Roger lectures and has published articles on the legal aspects of regeneration projects.

Recent Experience

• Representing Barratt London and housing association London and Quadrant (L&Q) through a joint venture vehicle in a deal with Sainsbury Plc to redevelop an 8.25 acre derelict industrial site at Fulham Wharf, London
• Acting for Cannon Wharf London LLP (a joint venture between BDW Trading Limited which trades as Barratt and Barratt London Investments Limited) in the acquisition of a major development site in Surrey Quays
• Advising Bellway as the GLA brings together a complex site from various different owners (including the GLA by statutory succession) for residential redevelopment as a whole by Bellway
• Acting for Queensland Road LLP (a joint venture between Barratt and London and Quadrant Housing Trust) in the acquisition of a landmark development site at the Emirates Stadium
• Acting for Alie Street LLP (A joint venture between Barratt and London and Quadrant Housing Trust) in the acquisition of a major development site in Aldgate, London E1. The development comprised of the planned construction of a 27-storey tower offering 235 new homes as well as ground floor retail units
• Acting for a regeneration company being a joint venture vehicle between Wilson Bowden and Barratt selected by Basildon Borough Council as development partners for the regeneration of Basildon Town Centre. The new development will consist of a £1bn new town centre including shops, offices, homes, enhanced public spaces and infrastructure
• Advising the Roman Catholic Church in a land for accommodation transaction in Wapping, in a joint venture with Tower Hamlets Community Housing
