About Jack

Jack is a solicitor in the Education Department, with a focus on the School Support service, where he assists in providing advice to schools and academies. He has particular experience in advising in the areas of special education needs and disability discrimination.

Having obtained a trainee solicitor role through the Justice First Fellowship, Jack trained at a children’s charity, gaining experience in Education, Family and Immigration & Asylum law. Prior to this Jack was an Education Law paralegal, conducting a caseload of Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal appeals, many of which had significant case complexities.

Jack achieved a First Class Undergraduate Law Degree and a Distinction in his LPC, where he also received a Distinction in every graded assessment on the course.

Recent Experience

  • Advising and acting in special educational needs matters including challenges again LA decisions regarding EHCPs, health and social care and residential school/college placements, as well Education Otherwise than at School packages.
  • Advising and acting in disability discrimination claims brought in the first-tier tribunal (SEND).
  • Delivering outreach workshops with a practical focus on early steps that can be undertaken when a parent thinks their child may have special educational needs.
