Emma was previously a paralegal in the Property Dispute Resolution team specialising in Housing Management, where she acted primarily for a large social housing landlord. During that time, she worked on a variety of different claims such as anti-social behaviour injunctions, rent arrears possession claims and housing disrepair claims.

Recent experience

• Drafting advice to a client on the liability and quantum of housing disrepair claims
• Drafting particulars of claim and preparing bundles for trial
• Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements for possession claims, some of which were in relation to Equality Act 2010 counterclaims
• Instructing experts to draft reports and instructing counsel to draft particulars of claim, defences, replies and advice
• Attending trials and appeal hearings with counsel, including at Central London County Court, Royal Courts of Justice
