About Eleanor

Elly is a planning and development risk solicitor with a particular focus on rights of light, neighbourly matters and planning litigation. She acts for national house builders, housing associations and a range of other land owners.

Having qualified in early October 2019, Elly undertook seats in our Real Estate, Construction and Corporate & Commercial teams before qualifying into the Planning and Development Risk team having experienced much of the “development life-cycle” during her training contract

Recent Experience:

  • Assisting with rights of light risk mitigation strategy for various house builders, housing associations and financial institutions
  • Acting for landowners to serve light obstruction notices on neighbouring buildings
  • Assisting with advice for various clients in relation to rights of way and prescriptive easements in the context of development
  • Assisting with providing advice to clients on Freedom of Information Act requests
  • Assisting with a judicial review application made by a high net worth individual in the successful challenge to the grant of planning permission
  • Assisting with adverse possession claim for an individual against a neighbouring owner in the context of plans to developing the land being possessed
