Charlie specialises in property development and regeneration projects for private and public sector housing providers. He provides clients with advice and guidance on all aspects of site assembly, land acquisition, onward disposals and lettings for residential and mixed use schemes.

He has particular experience in advising For Profit and Not for Profit Registered Providers on development and other property-related transactions, including strategic partnering agreements, funding and grant agreements, local authority nomination agreements and joint ventures.  He also advises local authorities and their housing companies on development schemes and affordable housing acquisitions.

Recent Experience

• London & Quadrant on the purchase and development of Wandsworth Exchange comprising over 200 apartments, commercial space and a new library for Wandsworth Council.
• Moat on the site assembly and acquisition of a site in Teynham, Kent and its development for over 300 residential units in joint venture with Chartway Group.
• Durkan on its procurement as Southwark Council’s development partner for the mixed use development of two sites, including negotiation of development agreement, overage provisions, leases and funding arrangements.
• Hyde on its acquisition of over 300 affordable housing units in two apartment blocks within London Square’s Woolwich development.
• Sovereign Network Group on its acquisition of Princes Mead shopping centre and adjacent retail assets in Farnborough for redevelopment for over 350 apartments and new commercial space.
• Peabody on the long leasehold acquisition from Lendlease of a development plot within Deptford Landings for the construction of 189 apartments.
