About Kinjal

Kinjal is part of the firm’s Real Estate team with experience in a range of real estate matters areas including property investment, mixed-use developments, airspace development and regeneration projects.

She was previously involved with property investment work where she advised on acquisitions and disposals of commercial properties, associated property management and general landlord and tenant matters. She has experience with investors who have a portfolio in residential, retail, office and industrial sectors.

Kinjal now focuses on all areas of development work acting for national housebuilders, developers and UK’s leading Registered Providers on a range of property matters arising in the development process including title due diligence, site assembly, acquisitions and disposals, neighbourly matters, joint venture agreements, development agreements and infrastructure agreements. She regularly deals with golden brick transactions and turnkey projects, conditional contracts and land and build agreements

Recent Experience

  • Advising Sovereign Housing Association on the leasehold element of their purchase of the Princes Mead Shopping Centre and two adjacent retail assets in Farnborough for £17.6 million.
  • Acting for Optivo on its disposal of 420 homes across six London and South East development sites to Sage Housing for £106 million.
  • Acting for Notting Hill Genesis on the acquisition of buildings in Victoria, Central London from Land Securities for conversion into 88 affordable housing units.
  • Acting for L&Q in joint venture with The Berkeley Group to deliver a new riverside development of 765 homes, of which 230 are affordable units, in Kenavon Drive, Reading.
  • Acting for a major house builder on the acquisition of a development site (mixed-use) worth £27m including ancillary agreements required for the development of the site.
  • Acting on various development projects that involve development of airspace above existing residential and mixed-use buildings.
  • Lead solicitor on the disposal of two commercial units for Barratt London at one of the largest regeneration projects in the country, Wembley Park (purchase price of over £2m).
  • Advising a joint venture between Mount Anvil and Clarion Housing Group on development agreements and leases of commercial office units at the Lexicon Tower, Islington and dealing.
  • with on-going property management work (combined sale price of circa £7m).
  • Leading on the property due diligence for a corporate transaction for a private real estate investment and development company enabling it to secure £70m development finance for its PRS portfolio in the South East.
  • Acting for a large international real estate fund on their property portfolio.
  • Acting for Moat Homes on a £76m purchase from Chartway Group which will result in the development of a new 300 mixed tenure residential housing project at Frognal Lane, Teynham, Kent.
