About Jill

Jill has experience in a wide range of conveyancing transactions having worked in the social housing sector for over 30 years and prior to that in local government. Jill specialises in the property work required for loan security for both registered providers and lenders, over a range of portfolio sizes, as well as advising on a variety of funding and security transactions and working on uplift transactions to achieve higher valuations for borrowers. As Team Leader, Jill also project manages the security requirements for large scale charging transactions including bonds and private placements.

Jill is also a member of the social housing sector Property Finance Working Group which agreed the sector form of certificate of title aimed at streamlining the charging process and which deals with ongoing sector property issues which could delay the charging process or impact on value, as well as other areas to improve the charging process.

Recent experience

  • Charging a retained bond sale and portfolio of top-up security for Longhurst
  • Acting for Bernicia in placing ongoing tranches of security combined with releases
  • Acting for Clarion and Trident in varying defective mortgagee exclusion clauses to improve valuation potential
  • Acting for Tower Hamlets Community Housing in the refinance of a large portfolio of security to raise funds to carry out fire safety works.
