Harriet graduated from Manchester University in 2005 with a degree in Social Anthropology. She then went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course in London, before qualifying as a solicitor in September 2012.
Harriet advises both employees and employers on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. In particular, Harriet advises on employment related disputes and tribunal claims, redundancy procedures, settlement agreements employment contracts and staff handbooks. Harriet also delivers training and seminars on various aspects of employment law.
- Advising and negotiating exit packages and settlement agreements for both employees and employers
- Advising in relation to a large-scale collective redundancy exercise, including drafting scripts for all consultation meetings and letters for employees
- Successfully defending a claim brought by an employee for race discrimination, victimisation and unfair dismissal
- Drafting bespoke documentation including employment contracts, consultancy agreements and a staff handbook
