About Cassandra

Cassandra is a Legal Director in the Education Team specialising in employment law in the education sector.  Her clients include maintained schools and academy trust companies, as well as independent schools.

Recent Experience

  • Acting for several multi-academy trust companies in the defence of Employment Tribunal proceedings brought for unfair dismissal, direct and indirect sex discrimination and disability discrimination
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of the law as it applies to voluntary aided schools and voluntary academies through my role supporting and advising Catholic dioceses generally
  • Advising a Catholic diocese in relation to a claim brought against one of its schools for discrimination on the grounds of religion

  • Drafting contracts of employment for a range of employees from support staff to senior employees, such as Chief Executive Officer

  • Drafting model scheme of delegation and associated documentation for Catholic academy trust companies in England
