The full-service city law firm, Winckworth Sherwood has grown its property litigation team with the addition of a new partner, Paul Dunbar.

Paul is a recognised frontrunner in his field and has joined the national firm from Ashfords LLP where he was head of the London property litigation team. His strong track record and experience includes advising property companies, investors, leisure occupiers, property funds, trusts and family offices. Paul’s arrival will expand Winckworth Sherwood’s offer to the property industry and further extend its activity with offshore funds and investors – Paul is a regular visitor to Jersey and Guernsey where he is instructed by leading trust companies.

With over 21 years of experience dealing with complex contentious property matters, Paul brings extensive expertise to the property dispute resolution team at Winckworth Sherwood. Always keen to visit subject properties, he provides strategic advice to clients looking to maximise the value of their assets and avoid costly disputes.

Paul also lectures regularly on aspects of property law and organises training for clients.

Emma Chadwick, head of the property dispute resolution team at Winckworth Sherwood, said:

Paul’s appointment will further broaden our real estate team, which already has one of the most diverse offers in the country, covering the entire development lifecycle as well as asset management.

“His specialist experience and knowledge will help bolster our reputation in the UK and further strengthen our presence in offshore territories.”

Paul Dunbar commented:

“I am thrilled to have joined a law firm with such a breadth and depth of expertise in the real estate sector. I am particularly pleased to join an established team of litigators and look forward to helping grow it further.”
