Lawyers report they have been fielding enquiries from financial firms about whether they can require employees to be vaccinated as a condition of returning to work in the office. The legal position is far from clear cut and firms will need to tread carefully.

With the UK’s COVID-19 vaccination programme on track, Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown, announced on Monday, said that all stay-at-home restrictions could be lifted by June 21. This will mean employers can start dusting off their return-to office plans with an eye to this date.
