Ruby Giblin calls on councils to use their access to public borrowing to help grow modular buildings. While modular may be the future, until funding on a large scale, can be secured, the future will continue to feel a long way off. Councils have a vital role to play in moving this industry forward – and should make the most of their access to public borrowing money along with attractive private funding to help MMC evolve into the innovation it has potential to be.
