Schools HR Legal Update – Holiday pay and beyond

During this free to attend webinar our expert speakers, Aida Smajlovic and Constance Rubin, will cover key changes following a raft of new legislation coming into effect in 2024 relating to different types of leave.

The key topics that we will be discussing during the one-hour webinar, include:

  • Harpur Trust and holiday pay – update on calculation of holiday pay following the government consultation and the new Employment Rights Regulations 2023.
  • Changes to Flexible working statutory regime – right to request flexible working from day one of employment. The Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Act 2023 and changes to flexible working.
  • Changes to Family Leave rights – introduction of Neonatal Care (Leave and Pay) Bill; changes to paternity leave and extension of redundancy protection during pregnancy, maternity leave, adoption leave and shared parental leave; and the Carer’s Leave Act 2023.

This event is aimed at schools, school leaders and those advising on HR issues within the education sector including central HR teams and HR consultancies.
