Winckworth Sherwood were one of 22 teams to take part in Swan Housing’s Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament at Leyton Orient FC’s stadium on Friday, 31 May 2019.

Drawn in a tough group including the eventual winners, Basildon Borough Council, Winckworth recorded memorable wins against Arcadis 1-0 and Nu Living 3-0.

The event raised over £2,000 for Swan’s Foyers which provide supported accommodation for single young people aged 16 to 24 who are in housing need and require support to acquire the skills to live independently

Pete Watts, Director of Care and Support, Swan Housing Association said: “What a fantastic event! I was delighted to see so many organisations take part in the tournament and support such a fantastic cause. Our Foyers truly change lives and the money raised will enable us to further increase our residents learning and development, but also enable more communal fun activities. Thank you to all who participates – I look forward to seeing you next year!”

A special thanks to the team: Alexander Barker, Ross Bentley, Christopher Brigstocke, Sam Kaye, Edward Swain and Krissun Soodin (all Real Estate), Daniel Clark (Admin), Ryan Darby and Johnny Ford (both Residential Development Sales), Frederick Davies (Planning), and Cameron Lowrie (IT).

Krissun selected the teams and the goalscorers were Alex (2), Cam and Ryan.
