Sharon is a Senior Associate in Winckworth Sherwood’s Commercial Real Estate team, with over 11 years’ post-qualification experience in both private practice and in-house roles. Dual-qualified in England & Wales and Botswana, she brings a unique international perspective and deep expertise in advising telecommunications operators and infrastructure clients on complex real estate and regulatory matters.
She plays a lead role in advising two of the UK’s major telecommunications providers on matters arising under the Electronic Communications Code, with particular focus on large-scale site acquisition, estate management, and strategic portfolio transactions. Her work is instrumental to the deployment and protection of critical national infrastructure, and she regularly acts in high-value negotiations and Code disputes across the UK.
In addition to her telecommunications focus, Sharon advises landlords and tenants on commercial lease transactions, wayleaves and site sharing arrangements. She has a track record of delivering commercially pragmatic advice underpinned by a strong command of statutory and contractual frameworks, including the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and the Product Security and Telecoms Infrastructure Act 2022.
Her ability to lead complex, multi-site matters — balancing legal, operational, and reputational risk — makes her a trusted adviser to clients navigating the fast-evolving intersection of property and technology. Her contributions have directly supported business continuity for network operators, enhanced client service delivery, and strengthened the firm’s long-standing position in the telecoms infrastructure sector.
