Max is a solicitor in the Commercial Property, Telecoms & Licensing team, with a particular focus on telecoms infrastructure and matters arising under the Telecoms Code. He advises on both contentious and non-contentious issues, including the negotiation and completion of leases and licences for telecoms sites, and the acquisition and renewal of Code rights.

Max has experience drafting and serving statutory notices, supporting Tribunal and Court proceedings, and working closely with counsel on complex disputes. He regularly advises clients on land rights, site access and occupation, and strategic considerations where operators seek to install or retain equipment on land.

Recent experience

• Advising on land rights for infrastructure, including easements, wayleaves, leases and licences.
• Drafting and negotiating land access and occupation agreements with landowners and public bodies, supporting the installation and retention of infrastructure.
• Preparing and advising on formal notices relating to land rights, including disputes over termination, renewal and ongoing occupation.
• Supporting contentious matters, including coordinating with external counsel and assisting with pre-action strategy and dispute resolution.
• Reviewing title and third-party rights to assess risks to infrastructure occupation and advising on mitigation strategies.
• Experience within a telecommunications infrastructure company supporting site agreements and land rights for telecoms towers.
• Supporting infrastructure transactions and due diligence, with a focus on property and regulatory risks affecting operational assets.
