Winckworth Sherwood is pleased to announce the appointment of Shazia Bashir as a Partner in its market‑leading Social Housing team, effective ninth February 2026.
Shazia joins from TLT, where she was a partner in the firm’s housing and regeneration team.
With extensive experience acting for social housing providers and local authorities, Shazia advises on housing and mixed‑use developments, regeneration partnerships, funding arrangements, and stock transfers.

In the first two months of the year, Winckworth Sherwood appointed five new partners:
- Tim Foley, joining the firm’s Property Litigation team from Freeths
- Charlie Hancock, joining the Private Client team from Forsters
- Arcangelo D’Apolito, a tax practitioner qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales and as a Dottore Commercialista in Italy, joining the firm’s Private Client team
- Sarbjeet Gill joined the Real Estate Development team from Gateley
- Shazia Bashir joins the Social Housing team from TLT
