About Shazia

Shazia is a partner in the Social Housing team. She acts for registered providers, local authorities and private developers on projects ranging from the development of affordable housing (both land-led schemes and Section 106 transactions) to complex mixed-use schemes. Shazia also advises on joint ventures (both contractual and corporate), stock transfers and funding.

Recent experience

  • Recently acting for a London Borough on a strategic partnership with a private developer.
  • Acting for Sovereign Network Group on the purchase of affordable homes from Related Argent at Brent Cross Town which is part of the Brent Cross regeneration scheme.
  • Acting for the Guinness Partnership Limited on a joint venture with Vistry Group to deliver over 700 homes.
  • Acting for Peabody Trust on a joint venture with Mount Anvil to deliver a mixed-use scheme of 500+ homes to include community and commercial spaces.
  • Acting on the Ladywood regeneration scheme in Birmingham, a landmark £2.2 billion urban redevelopment scheme.
