Speakers: Malini Skandachanmugarasan,
The Home Office is seeking views on what would be one of the largest scale overhauls of the UK immigration system by introducing reforms for Earned Settlement in the UK. Potentially from Spring 2026, the baseline qualifying period for most migrants will be changing from 5 years to 10 years. Additionally Settlement will no longer be based on the period of residence in the UK but earned through a number of different pillars designed to ensure applicants have made meaningful contribution to UK society and met measurable standards.
Join us on Wednesday 14 January for a webinar where Immigration Partner, Malini Skandachanmugarasan, will outline the proposals of note in the consultation and discuss the implications on overseas nationals and UK businesses.
We are encouraging clients and contacts to participate in the consultation which, if the proposals are implemented, will have far-reaching consequences to individuals and businesses in the UK. The deadline to submit a response is 12 February 2026.
