The Government has claimed to be “rewriting the rule book” on planning in a bid to solve the UK’s housing crisis. One of their solutions is to build new ‘Garden Towns’. At these seminars Winckworth Sherwood and 39 Essex Chambers, along with a panel of experts drawn from developers, registered providers, finance, local government, and regulators, will consider what is next for New Towns, and how they can be most effectively used to create thriving new communities and much-needed new homes.
Topics covered will include:
- New Town Powers – What powers are available and how are they best implemented?
- Compulsory Purchase and New Towns – How can compulsory purchase powers be used to enable New Towns?
- Land Value Capture – What is the current debate missing, and how else might we deliver necessary infrastructure and housing?
There is no charge to attend this seminar.
