We acted for a non domiciled individual in his purchase of a new build house off plan for in excess of £6 million. We advised with regard to the various risks associated with buying a new building property such as:
- the extent of cover offered by an NHBC building warranty and the need to supplement this with collateral warranties from the contractor and design team
- party wall matters
- title issues.
We also negotiated the purchase contract to ensure the buyer had a commercially sensible level of control over the finished product amongst other matters.
